The People Behind the Company
Barbara Campbell
DoubleTree, Inc., Founder and Owner Barbara Campbell has more than 20 years experience in project planning, development, construction management, and structuring and securing short-and long-term financing for construction projects and business ventures. Barbara also has developed a network of contacts in finance, business, and government that gives her insight into all available resources for project development.
Barbara is a recognized specialist in the areas of project financing and grant writing. Her repeated success in funding projects through various federal, state, and private sources speaks for itself, and her understanding of funding regulations and requirements results in efficient administration of project funds.
Barbaras skills and experience extend to cost estimating, knowledge of building materials and techniques, and construction inspections, evidenced by her successful completion of construction projects ranging from high-rise buildings to single-family homes, from factories to housing rehabilitation, from healthcare facilities to water and wastewater systems. Barbaras career experience, including land development, represents more than $300 million in total construction costs, and her lifelong project involvement includes more than 800 new housing units and more than 400 housing units rehabilitated.
Barbara also has been involved in economic development activities related to new and existing businesses. Her involvement ranges everywhere from securing working capital to financing building construction and equipment acquisition, and she has an in-depth familiarity with local government law and operations in the field.
The Montana Department of Commerce selected Barbara to co-author Designing and Initiating a Small Community Housing Rehabilitation Program. This manual places strong emphasis on preparation of local housing plans and community needs assessments surveys methodology. She also is a frequent speaker on community development for a number of different organizations and at workshops sponsored by state agencies.
Barbaras years of project management have sharpened her negotiating skills, and her abilities as a mediator enable projects to proceed smoothly and efficiently.

Kris Vandersloot
Kris Vandersloot, DoubleTrees Project Development Coordinator, brings a variety of skills to the DoubleTree team. Kriss background includes project management, statistical analysis, and data presentation.
Combining experience in communication and team facilitation with strong organizational and computer skills, Kris is a valuable asset to DoubleTrees Bozeman office. Kris also oversees production of the companys News Around the Corner newsletter that keeps residents of the Four Corners area informed about DoubleTree projects there. Kris also enjoys the outdoor life and is a licensed independent fly-fishing guide.
Julie Jones
Julie Jones, DoubleTrees Project Administrator and Grant Writer, heads up the companys Bridger office. Julie serves as project manager for housing projects funded by the Montana Department of Commerce, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Montana Board of Housing, and the Seattle Home Loan Bank. She also has assisted with managing water and sewer projects in Laurel, Columbus, Red Lodge, and Carbon County.
Julies knowledge of public facility and housing needs throughout central and eastern Montana has given her insight to offer thorough planning for individual communities, including completing structural condition surveys, market surveys, and overall planning documents. In addition to working for DoubleTree, Julie serves on the Fromberg Town Council and can relate to concerns and problems of small Montana communities.
Larry VanDyke
Larry VanDyke joins the staff of Double-Tree Inc as construction manager to oversee the Utility Solutions sewer force main construction, and the underground infrastructure construction in the Northstar and Galactic Park subdivisions.
A Bozeman native, Larry brings a diverse background to the Double-Tree projects, including a degree in Chemical Engineering, work in the oil and gas industry, ownership and operation of VanDyke Irrigation Company, and ownership and operation of VanDyke Construction Company. Extensive experience in the construction of water mains and distribution lines, wastewater treatment facilities, and sewer collection infrastructure are an ideal fit for Larry and the Double-Tree team.
